73/365: A walk around the village

My 5-year old nephew Bryce under a beautiful Talisay tree in our village. 🙂

Dear Bryce,

Thank you for being such a bright, curious boy. Thank you for being not too whiny whenever you get sick or feel uncomfortable–for reminding us, through your innocence, of the things that truly matter.

I enjoyed our short walk around the village today. You’re such a shy boy, but very honest and frank about how you feel about things–the crowded playground, the weird taste of that bubblegum-flavored popsicle, a stranger carrying a baby and your love for candies.

I’m happy to be instrumental in giving you good memories to cherish when you grow up, and for a little boy as bright as you, I know you will always remember today. 🙂
